The Autonomous Vehicles and Robotics Laboratory at University of Nebraska-Lincoln aims to improve safety, efficiency and sustainability of civil infrastructure systems, and accessibility of transportation services for underserved populations using autonomous driving systems and robotic technology. 

Research Focus: 

  • Deployment of autonomous driving technology in transportation systems
  • Vehicles to Vehicles (V2V), vehicles to Infrastructure (V2I) and vehicles to Everything (V2X) technologies
  • Development of instrumented bike in cycling facility management
  • Application of vehicle based sensing technology in pavement condition assessment
  • Sustainability of construction materials under the effect of climate change
